Bioinformatics Workshop Information.

Fourth Annual Bioinformatics Workshop (Summer 2014)

Funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, Towson University and the University of Maryland at College Park are conducting an intensive 3 day workshop that aims at injecting computational thinking and bioinformatics concepts in particular, into high school Biology curriculum. Topics will include biological databases, and hands-on bioinformatics exercises that any high school student can do.

High school science\biology teachers are invited to attend this workshop. The workshop will be held at the campus of Towson University from August 4-6, 2014 (3 days total).

If you would like to learn the basic principles of Bioinformatics to better help your students understand this very important and expanding field, then please plan on attending. If you are interested, please send your resume to nalkharouf@towson.edu, in the subject line please include the words “Summer Workshop”.

Applicants will be accepted until all positions are filled.
